We went on our babymoon two weekends ago and had the most amazing time! We stayed at the Gaylord Rockies in Aurora, Colorado which is right outside of Denver. It was so beautiful and you could see the mountains from all over the resort, which is something we definitely don’t get in Houston! The weather was so perfect the entire time we were there and we enjoyed just relaxing and hanging out as a family of 3. This was a last little vacation before Madden gets here and I’m so glad we were able to take a babymoon this pregnancy.
Both Mason and I got to enjoy Relâche Spa & Salon, which was absolutely AMAZING! I got the Mother-To-Be massage and it felt so good on my sore body. You cannot lay on your stomach for massages while pregnant so they had these magic (I felt like they were magic) pillows so that I could comfortably lay on my side and they were awesome. I wish I could have taken the pillows home with me!! Mason got the Destress Massage and he said it was also great. I think Mason would have moved into the spa permanently if I had let him! The fireside lounge is where we got to hang out before / after your treatment and it is so relaxing in there, I could have easily fallen asleep. Mason loved the steam room in the spa, I couldn’t use it because of my pregnancy but I would love to go back!
The goal of our babymoon was just to relax and hang out by the pool which we did! The pool area at the Gaylord Rockies is so amazing. They have an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, water slides and a lazy river. Hunter LOVES to swim so she had an absolute blast at the pool and lazy river. The weather was so nice, it wasn’t too hot so we could easily spend as much time as we wanted outside at the pool. Hunter has been taking swim lessons and boy did she put her skills to work this weekend!! She constantly wanted to swim back and forth to Mason and I! She was living her best life. We enjoyed lunch by the pool at the Arapahoe Springs Bar & Grill and the food was so yummy. Mason said the drinks were great too so we will take his word for it. It’s always nice not having to go far from the pool to grab some lunch.
One great thing about the Gaylord resorts is how big they are!! Seriously, y’all they’re huge! The Gaylord Rockies has the prettiest grand lodge with a huge fountain (that Hunter LOVED) she always demanded to go see the “agua” and would just stare at it for at least 10 minutes every time! Girlfriend loves her water! All the restaurants were located around here and it’s nice to have a selection without having to leave the resort. We ate at every one except for one just because we didn’t have time! We truly had the best time and Mason and I are already talking about when we can go back! I’m so glad we were able to take a babymoon and if you’re looking for somewhere to go, I can’t recommend the Gaylord Rockies enough!
Thanks so much for reading and thanks to the Gaylord Rockies for hosting us!
