We are in the single digits of how many weeks left I have of this pregnancy, HOW! I can’t believe it! Hunter is still obsessed with my bump and loves kissing it and saying “bye bye baby”, not entirely sure what that means lol but it’s cute! Just wanted to share a little bumpdate with y’all! I’m answering all the questions y’all sent me over on Instagram!
How far along?
I’m 35 weeks!
Is this pregnancy any different than my first?
For the most part no! I have pretty much felt the exact same, I was super nauseous and tired. I think I was actually more sick this time around. The one difference that I have noticed is my emotions. This baby boy makes me feel a little crazy!! I cry over Facebook videos and watching America’s Got Talent all the time, it’s nuts.
How do I gracefully handle pregnancy weight gain?
This is a hard question, I’m flattered that you think I handle it well. But if we are being honest, it is hard. I obviously expect to gain weight, I’m growing a baby, it just can be hard to see your body changing, especially towards the end! I truly appreciate how my body can change and carry a human for 9 months, it is the most amazing thing in the world. I have always been petite so watching your body go through such drastic changes can kinda get you down somedays! But you have to remember how amazing what your body is doing and what you get out of it!! You get the best thing in the world!
How have I been feeling lately?
Feeling pretty good, super tired and have had some contractions already! EEK! My body feels pretty achey but I’m getting towards the end so my body is working extra hard.
Cravings?
ROOT BEER! haha I want it alllll the time! But really anything sweet, love candy and brownies!
Must Have Items:
Honestly, haven’t really purchase a whole lot yet – oops! We are using a lot of the big items that we used with Hunter with Madden.
- We already have the Halo Bassinest set up in our room! It’s a huge help having baby sleep right next to your bed for the middle of the night feedings. Hunter slept in this for 6 months before transitioning into her crib.
- The only reason we got any sleep the first year with Hunter was our Owlet Smart Sock! I always recommend this to anyone who is pregnant because it gives you such a peace of mind so you can actually get some sleep. It tracks your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while they sleep. It notifies you with lights and sounds if something appears to be wrong!
- We went with another convertible crib from Pottery Barn Kids for Madden. We love Hunter’s so much so we couldn’t imagine getting anything else. We got the Rory 4-in-1 Convertible Crib and will be able to use it in Madden’s room as long as we need it because it converts to a toddler bed and full sized bed!
- We loved these SleepSack Swaddles with Hunter because they’re so easy to use! I am no pro swaddler and these were a lifesaver!
- Already stocking up on our favorite diapers and wipes! These were the ONLY wipes we can use on Hunter’s sensitive skin so we are just starting off using them with Madden.
Thanks so much for reading and following along with my pregnancy!
