Velvet Dress & Marigold Kimono - Blonde in the Burbs

I have loved the velvet trend this Fall. I want to buy everything I see in velvet but need to limit myself or I’m going to end up with a closet full of velvet. I guess that wouldn’t be so bad? The short sleeve version of this dress is sold out but it comes in an identical long sleeved version! I love the color and it hugs your body in all the right places. I sized up one size to have room for my baby bump. I don’t usually wear super fitted clothes but I love how they accentuate my bump, so you can tell I’m actually pregnant and not just eating well (I am actually both) 😂 The perfect way to downplay a tighter dress or top, is to add a kimono!

I love the marigold color of this kimono, it literally screams Fall to me which is my favorite season! It also comes in two other colors, burgundy and navy, which are both more muted than the marigold. I love this kimono and have already worn it with jeans as well! It works so well with both jeans and dresses. Kimonos are the perfect way to dress up and add color to a basic outfit! I love this color combination of the dress and kimono, but if you didn’t want to pair it with another Fall color, it also pairs perfectly with black or white.
